In April, I was hired to write an article about the overall cost of cleaning up the Great Pacific Garbage Patch (GPGP) located in the Pacific ocean between California and Hawaii. Just a couple days ago, the magazine (Overture Global) was release nationwide! Here it is on the shelves at Barnes & Noble in Marina Del Rey, CA:

It's truly a pleasure to be featured alongside so many talented writers and to be able to bring awareness to an issue that affects the entire world. Overture Global aims to connect innovative tech companies with global initiatives to promote positive growth, and many companies are joining their mission to inspire the human race in many ways. Each article is dedicated to informing the reader about new discoveries, concerns, and projects that span across a wide range of topics, so I encourage you to visit your local newsstand or Barnes & Noble to pick up a copy and learn more about how you can become an advocate for change!

Below is the article I wrote for you to enjoy. Thank you so much for your support, and try your best to eliminate single-use plastics (or all plastics) whenever possible. As a cyclist, the integrity of our earth is essential, and for us to continue to enjoy the beauty and recreation that nature gives us, we must all do our part to protect it. No matter how you interact with the world around you, your life plays a major role in terms of its development. At times it can feel like our impact as an individual is minuscule, but the smallest changes make a huge difference; you are more powerful than you think.
